I don't think you can get a Z71 "base" the power options are part of the Z-71 package

I have a 99 Z71 and the MSRP was 28,500...If you wanna get the best deal on a base truck then get a 4x4 work truck with no power and spartan interior, and use the money you save to use on mods--The Z71 package is not a big deal! Just buy the stickers and put 'em on! The new trucks have had a lot of problems and the IFS suspension is lacking in off-road ability, but for a daily driver with occasional light trail use it should be fine. You can see my two Z71s on my website www.geocities.com/jason99_z71/index.html. Good luck!

Base on my 2001 Z71 was $34K. Talked them down to $28K.
