Is there a difference between a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton dana 44 other than from the knuckles out?
What i'm getting at, is i need new axles and i thought about ordering some from warn. But i was told that the ones for a 3/4 ton are longer and that warn only makes them for a 1/2 ton.
    So what is the difference?

the only way the shafts differ ive heard is that the pre 73 dana 44 shafts are easier to break because they changed the design in 73 to not neck down near the knuckle as far as pre 73.all dana 44 shafts will interchange though.just not 10 bolt corp axle shafts.they are different length form the 44
