im doing a swap to 3/4 ton rear and front . i have a quick question on emergency brake cables. is it possible to cut the mount ( clip in mounts )out of the original backing plate and fit it to the 3/4 ton backing plate (bolt in place mounts)?
or is there an easier way ?

Try doing a search on "emergency brake", this has been covered several times. Good luck!

Your basically gonna take the clip in mounts off the cables and apply those cables to the bolt on mount of the new axle. I did it and it has worked great for almost a year. A few others have done it too. If you need further help just ask.
