Yeah! But I put it there! So I added the long awaited tow hooks to avoid strapping to the axle and risking damage to lots of other parts. So I drilled two 1/2inch holes in the frame for each hook. What should I do now to protect the frame now that I have penetrated its barier and opened it up to cancer? Is it not too big of a deal? I have enough rust as is luckily none on the frame i'd like to keep it that way.

Get a small can of POR-15 and use that to help the rust to not show up....

Not that big of a deal, but it wouldnt hurt to dab the area in and around it with some grease or oil. Do that just before you put the tow hooks on. Just don't wash that area with the pressure washer.
If you don't want to do that, get some good can-spray paint like Rust-O-Leum or X-O Rust and spray the areas good.

Personally, if it were me, a little fresh area exposed from drilling like you did would not affect anything. As long as the tow hooks are installed, you will be covering up the holes and "sealing" them with the bolts and nuts.

I was thinking along the same lines of it will take care of it self with the nuts bolts and hooks in place. I have no winter road salt here just Mud

POR 15 Man I have been looking for this stuff with no luck. What types of places carry any size cans of POR 15?

I have checked a local parts/tractor supply house on top of all chain stores locally with no luck
