1\" body lift, What\'s involved?

I have a '77 K5 with 35's, a 350, a SM465, and a NP205. I want extra tire clearance and was woundering if it's worth the work. Is there a lot of problems with the shift linkage or anything else?

one inch should be easy... my 3 inch took about 6 hours otal... Lots of little things to worry about... brake lines.. fan shroud... a few wires in the rear... tailgate hinges were removed to stop the binding on the tailgate... Any specific questions just ask!!! I can take pictures... I had to lengthen my shifter rod, but I did a 3 inch lift... one inch you may not need to ... I cant go into 4 lo now cause my shifter is blocked by the floor boards... gonna have to fix that soon...

You wont have to modify to much for just a 1". But it still invalves all the same work getting the bolts loose etc. I have pictures taken during my 3" on my web page http://www.espen88k5.coloradok5.com

I have the same tranny and T case and just did the 1" body lift. No probs with the shifters, and I can still get all the ranges. The only mod really was I had to alter my shroud for fan clearance. The fuel filler might need some extending too. Everything else was fine. I'd change your body mounts while you busy with it too.
