10 bolt 8 lug conversion using D44 parts question *not a typical ?*

    I was comparing my old 6 lug 10 bolt hubs to the D44 8 lug hubs today and found something interesting. Standing beside each other, the WMS on the D44 hubs looks to be about an inch higher than the 10 bolts. I was planning on using the 10 bolt knuckles and spindles with these D44 hubs and backing plates.

    Am I wrong, or will these hubs increase my front WMS to WMS width by roughly 2"? I can take a picture if anyone needs to know what I'm talking about.

    You are correct sir.


    It makes it wider. I think it goes to 69.5 from 67 IIRC

    Great, so now it'll look even goofier than it did before. I should have used the van width 14b after all. At least my small tire size won't make it look too terribly bad.
