Ive got an 81 chev 1/2 ton with a 12 bolt rear end and have to swapp it in because my blazers rear end is gone and was just wondering if the brakes from my 10 bolt will bolt onto the 12.
    Thanks for any help

there are two different brake measurements on the 10 bolt shoes. The shoes are either 2" or 2 5/8" I think. Not for sure on that 2nd one. Also not for sure but I think the larger of the two drums are 11 3/4" and smaller is 11". Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.Sorry I don't have the photogenic memory.

    Thanks,

The only way to likely tell if there will be a problem, is to compare the backing plates. The way they bolt to the axle flange, and the wheel cylinder to brake line connection.
