    Do I need a special carrier to swap to 4:56 gears in ten bolt and are the front and rear carriers interchangeable?

    1982 K10 Silverado. [​IMG] 327 SHPE powerplant SM465/205,15"custom lift 38.5"TSL/SWAMPERS 12boltrearD44 front,3.73 gears.

    No specials needed, and yes they are interchangable.
    Have done both.

    Still hoping the GOV'T will ban the use of loud stereos with RAP music. [​IMG]

    i went from 3.73-4.56 and had no carrier change.

    Depends on where you live. got mine done for 150r and 200f but he has upped his price to 275r and 325f so thats is why i am going to do the next ones myself. it all depends on what the going rate on labor is where you live

    No special carrier if you get the right thickness gear for your carrier and If you swap front to rear or vise versa on the carriers you better be sure you're axle spline count is the same or you''ve wasted your time....
