In the past three years the rear end has been eating pinion teeth everytime I pull the cover off. Fired up the blazer last night after work for its weekly voyage.
It started as a light hum then vibrated like hell. Had to drive 15 mph for two miles to get home as it got worse.
You should have seen the neighbor's face as I pulled in, clunk clunk clunk clunk.
I haven't pulled the cover yet, but sounds like there's little left of the ring and pinion.
But being optimitstic, It got me home and the 14 bolt is now on the front of the mod list.

doubt you'll ever hear that sound again with a 14FF /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I feel your pain /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I got tired of replacing 10 & 12 bolts. Since I installed my 14BFF, it hasn't gave me any trouble at all.

The best part is in the 3 years, I have collected 90% of the parts to do the swap to 3/4 ton.
Just need to buy the wheels and am debating 15x10 or 15x8?

15 x 8's would be my choice. If you go with the 10's you might have problems breaking the tire loose from the wheel offroad.
