Anyone know the torque spec on a 10 bolt front axle for the inner and outer hub nuts? All my books are for older rigs with Dana 44s only - or can I just use the specs for that axle?

    Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I think the far inner one (closest to the bearing) is torque to 50lbs. then back of 1/4 turn then retorque to 35lbs. The other nut I think is somewhere around 80lbs.

    I could be wrong thou.

Tighten the inner to 50 ft/lbs while rotating the rotor. Back off the adjusting nut and retorque it (35 ft/lbs for auto hubs and 50 for manual hubs). Outer locknut gets tightened to 160 ft/lbs.

That's straight from the GM manual so I'm not going to argue with them /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
