Could someone please tell me what year the 10 bolt rear started and are they alot weaker than the 12 bolts? Also what year was the 203 replaced? Is the replacment t-case better or worse?

From my personal experience, the spider gears in the 10 bolt are weak. I grenaded mine a couple months back. A 12 bolt would be a good upgrade or just throw in a 14 Bolt FF and be done with it.

If you are going to swap axles, go for the 14 bolt. It wouldn't be worth the swap to just go to a 12 bolt. If you just want bigger gears, I have a set of 3.73s with open carrier I would be willing to part with if you would be willing to contribute to Brian's "Clean Out The Garage" Fund!
