How hard is it to replace the ball joints (or king pins what ever you want to call them) in a 10 bolt ?
any special tools to make it easier? I've never done it before
and its time to learn how! before I break one. any hints to make it eaiser...

They have to be pressed out. Get a manual and it will tell you how to do it. You can make a press out of some bolts nuts and sockets (the manual will show you how).

I've done quite a few on Dana 44's, which really aren't all that different from a 10 Bolt. All you really need other than basic tools is a good seperator/pickle fork. An impact is nice, but hand tools work just as well. Expect to spend around 4 hours your first time, maybe more depending on the mood of the balljoint gods that day. Some people have handy little ball joint presses for tight ones, but a good dead blow hammer has always yielded good results for me.

I'm so poor I can't even pay attention [IMG]
