I was told that I could possibly change my Hub/Rotor on my 10 bolt 6 lug with a Hub/Rotor out of an 86 3/4ton 10 bolt and it would be the same. Has anyone else heard or done this?? Any help would be greatly Appreciated. Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yep, 77+ Dana 44/GM 10 bolt used the same spindle for both 1/2 and 3/4 ton. You need the 3/4 ton bearing hubs, rotors and backing plates to make the conversion complete /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Measuring the Rotor as far as thickness and width (across the rotor)they are the exact same size. I realize that the 8 lug uses bigger bearings, but is the 10bolt 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton basically the same axle but with two different lugs?? I talked to a guy today that had done it and he had not had any problems. Now just to clarify what axles I'm talking about this is a 79 10bolt and using a 3/4 ton hub and rotor out of an 86 k20 10 bolt. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
