I have a 10 bolt front that is leaking. The leak is located right at the end of the axletube where the axleshaft comes out. Is there a seal or something that can be replaced. I have not looked at this part of the axle in detail before. I think it is called a slinger. Is it attached to the axleshaft or pressed in the tube itself?

    Any help/info would be great.
    Thanks,
    JH

There is a seal in the tube by the ring a pinion. You need to pull the shaft and carrier in order to change. Changing the seal is not hard, but time consuming due to the fact you have to pull the hubs, rotors, spindles, shafts, etc. But it does give you an excuse to check your ring and pinion and change the diff fluid.

If you didn't build it yourself, how can you call it yours.......?
