    10\'\'s under front seats?

I am really tight on space and was wondering if there is enough space under the front bucket seats on my '87 K5 to fit a 10'' sub enclosure? I just am not sure how much air space they need. Would I get better sound by using a single 12'' or 15'' at the rear instead of two 10''s in the front?

there happen to be a post goin around about putting a sub under the front seat and everyone concluded that it wouldnt be worth the time and money because at the most you could fit an 8" under the seats and it probably wouldnt sound all that good because there is not all that much room under the seat. hope that helps, check out greg72's set up, he made boxes that go over the rear wheel wells and he had minimal loss of cargo space

If you're consittering a single sub in the back, I'd use the 12". 12's give you both the punch and substaned bass. 15's are better for the substained, but lack in the punch. You'll also need to decide what type of box you'll need. What music do you liston to mostly ????

just thought i would throw this out there.
a friend of mine put a 3" spacer between his seat and the slides. built a fiberglas box right into the medal floor and put a 15" alpine sub. but this was also in a fullsize pickup. it pounded the hell out of you're A.. but didn't take long to blow the fiberglass apart. also had 2 8"s in each door. when he decided it was all to much he had a wreck of a pickup. holes in everything and stuff vibrated loose. anyway just some nonsense for you..

It really is hard to say what kinda music I listen to mostly, I play what pleases the passengers wether it be country, rock, rap, or pop. I am looking to rattle out some fillings, and my friend has an 800 watt amp for $200, what size sub (inexpensive one) would best handle that? I am leaning more towards putting a single at the rear.
