12 bolt gasket

    Are the 12 bolt rear gaskes(cover) the same for 2whl and 4 whl? This would be for 12 bolts 78-81.

    Yeah they are. All 12's run the same gasket. The onlly difference from a 2wd and a 4wd is the axle shafts and some run a different diameter pinion seal. That has more to do with the yoke.

    Yes the gasket is the same for 2 whl and 4 whl.The truck 12B was the same from 1962 to 1982.The 12B was discontinued in '82,up here.I would just use silicone myself.I change my fluids after any water adventures.The silicone works great...why buy a gasket everytime you change the oil.Just my 2 cents.

    yes they are both the same. they both come in a tube. any good parts store will have them[​IMG]
