My 12 bolt is leaking out where the drive shaft connects to the axle. Is this something hard to replace or is it something that a gear shop shouuld do?

Fairly easy. Remove Driveshaft, place drain pan under rear output shaft of T-Case. Remove the pinon nut, then remove the pinon yoke. Replace the seal, replace the yoke. Torque nut to specs. Repalce oil in Diff, top off t-case

If you don't understand Pinion Bearing Pre-Load, then I highly suggest you find out more about it.
    Good luck

An air impact really helps out...when its off check the sealing surface for wear...if you can feel a dip in the surface with your thumbnail replace the yoke or it will leak again!

Also...you have those rear panels i wanted before the why 3 k5 run?

Bigbad's got it down, I'd also check to make sure the breather on your diff is clear, or you could blow that seal again as soon as you hit the highway. Took me two seals to figure that one out!
