Besides the different locations of the spring perches and the shock mounts. WHAT are the differences between the 14 Bolt FF 1 ton and 3/4 ton versions?????

essentially nothing. definately no major design differences, just small fitment differences like you already know.. the innards are the same.. assume we're both talking about single rear wheel truck axles

The '77 K20 I had 15 years ago had the smaller 11" rear drums and the camper special 3/4 tons and 1 tons had 13" drums then.

3/4 tons used both 11" and 13" drums. Both sizes were in 2.5" wide shoes.

1 tons use a 13" drum but they are 3.5" wide.

Other than the spring perches and shock mounts, the brakes are the only thing that make them different.

Not that Wes needs any backup /forums/images/icons/wink.gif, but I currently own botht the 13" 3/4 ton version and the 1 ton version axles, and it's exactly like he says, the only difference besides shock mounts and spring pads is the width of the drums.

I don't believe so, the difference is the drum extends farther inward. WMS to WMS is the same.
