Any of you guys got the knowledge and tools to setup a 14 bolt pinion if I bring you the carrier and crush sleeve? I was planning on just reusing the crush sleeve in mine when I install the 1410 yoke, but I thought I would first check and see if any of you guys could do it, and at what cost. I could probably do it, but without a press (or strong 1/2" to 3/4" impact) to start the crush, and an inch-lb torque wrench, I don't think it's worth the trouble...

I could, for a few beers, but you would have to drive up to Prescott /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif.....

    Russ,
I've got a 3/4" breaker bar that has worked fine for me in the past. Even have a 36" pipe wrench to hold the yoke if necessary.
    If you're interested.

Ok, what about the inch-pound torque wrench? Anyone got access to one?

Sorry to be so long. Apparently it's around 12 inch/lbs for used bearings...

    Russ,
Mine should work. I'm taking it home with me so let me know how I can get it to you if you want to use it. I'm at 35th ave and Thunderbird.

Excellent, thank you. But it will be a week or so till I can use it. I've still got to get the crush sleeve, seal, and gasket. I've also got to get my buggy out of the drive so we can put my old case and trany in my son's K5 and get him on the road. I'll probably just stick the yoke on this week end to move it and then get the parts next week. In any case, I will need to have it done before BB03. Man, I've GOT to get on the ball!

Maybe I should just take it down to Desert Rat in Mesa and let him do it just to get it done... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif So much to do, sigh...
