Does anyone know of a 14 bolt ff rearend that would bolt into a 72 k5 blazer? I am curious if one exists with the same spring pad width as my 72. If so, is the overall width comparable?

yes, i belive that the ones from 1 tons will bolt right up. 3/4 ones will bolt into the 73+ blazers. BTW 3/4 and 1 ton 14FF are identical except for the brakes size and spring pad width. the chevy vans have a wider 14ff, about 3"

<font color=blue>One ton 14 bolts have the correct spring pad spacing. The shock mounts will have to be relocated and you may or may not need degree shims for the pinion angle.
