14 bolt gears

    how do you decode the ratio from the stamped #s on the ring gear these are stock gm gears

    They stamp it with the number of ring gear teeth and the number of pinion gear teeth.
    For example, if it says 41 10 then you divide the two and it's 4.10
    If it says 41 11 then it's 3.73.

    It's stamped on the "nose" of the Pinion shaft, [small end]
    of the shaft. 41/10 etc.
