The pinion on my 14 bolt is loose, I can wiggle it back and forth, doesn't leak or anything, is this normal, what could be the problem, has been like this since I put it in three years ago! Have noticed some vibration at hwy speed, can't find any bad U-joints, could this be it? You can pull the pinion out from the front if it needs work right? Thanks in advance for your input.

sounds like either your bearings are going out or the pinion nut is loose.if it need work you can take the bolts loose on the housing holding the pinion in and the whole thing pulls out of the housing
