    what years came with 14 bolt SF? Were they in suburbans and trucks?

    after 81 in 3/4tons, not sure on the burbs, and 88 and later light duty 3/4tons are 6 lug.

    The 14SF was *the* 3/4-ton rear end from '81 until the end of the body style. Both trucks and Burbs got it. The only 3/4-ton that got the 14FF was a bigblock truck.

    The 6-lug 14SF didn't appear until '88 in the new style trucks. Rumor has it you can take the 81-87 14SF, and swap in the 88-up 6-lug shafts. Dunno what brakes work then /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
