I know this question has been asked to death but I'm going to go ahead and ask again. What 14 bolts will bolt right onto a 1986 GMC Jimmy? And also if I used the 2wd 14 bolt I know that something about them is different but I dont remember exactly what.

PS - I AM NOW THE PROUD OWNER OF A DANA 60 FRONT

Beefing up my truck broken part by broken part.
1986 GMC Jimmy 9" lift, 38" swampers, and a sarcastic liscense plate holder.

You want any 3/4 ton 14 bolt. The only issues you may really run into are the parking brake cables.

Still hoping the GOV'T will ban the use of loud stereos with RAP music. [IMG]

I'm pretty sure any 4wd, 3/4 ton 14 bolt will bolt right in.

If you get a 2wd 14bolt, I know the shock mounts are a lot lower, and can cause clearance problems. Don't know if there is anything else different about them.

If you find a 4wd 1 ton 14 bolt, then the spring perches will have to be moved before it will fit on your Jimmy.

Good luck, and congrats on the D60! I wish I could find one cheap enough to replace my D44 ..........

A 3/4 ton 4x4 14 bolt from the years 73 thru 87 should bolt in place- perches and shocks need NO modification. The e-brake I'm not too sure of. Yes, the 2 wheel drive version will have the lower shock mounts.
