14 boltcarrier FF removal, dang..

    ok how do you get 14 bolt FF carrier to come outof the cas,eive rmeoved everything including pinion and related, all except the ring gear bolts, and it onlyis out of the case by about 3/8" if even that much,justwontcomeout.

    The adjusting rings are backed out right?? If so give it a little pry and it should pop out. Careful it's heavy /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Once you've unscrewed the adjusters a 2 or 3 turns each it should come right out. Could it be that you don't have the axle shafts pulled far enough out? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

    yep yep the adjuster, my bad,,. i realized this about 15minutes aftermaking this post, unscrewed them and the carrier fellout like it was nothing... ! the side load adjusters design is pretty neat, they should use that on the 1/2ton axles alsoi think

    im too used ot 10 and 12 bolts

    scrapping axle,already loaded in junk van, goingotpeoria shredder yard, i onlykept the 3.73 ring and carrier to sell or trade
