Wondering how much 1410 yokes and joints are going to cost me. I want to run all 4 joints with 1410s. Both tcase joints(no CVs here), and the D60 and 14 bolt. Anyone know a place I can get these yokes and how much?

I got mine from Jess at High Angle. Don't remember what each one cost, they vary depending on where they go, and seems he had Spicer up the cost on him right after I bought. Give him a call.

However, one thing to note, the only way to put a 1410 on a 205 front output is to swap in a 32 spline Ford front output. And I think that is the only case you can run a 1410 on the front, at least it's the only one I know of. If you still run the 208 you may be out of luck without a custom machined yoke. $$$$$

Like you said, you can't put a 1410 yoke on a 30 spline output, which is essentially the only reason that I run a CV shaft up front.

Jesse is the place to get anything Spicer.

241 in mine but I gotcha. Hey 1410s at the axles are better than nothing.

241 transfer case still uses the same 30 spline output that the 205 uses.

What is the advantage of the 1410 say over the 1350?

More ultimate strength and nearly 1.5 as much angle.

size and strength for one,,,,,and with all the same u-joints on both shafts means you only have to carry one type spare joint.

Yep, all the above. Strength, angle, and minimized spare parts.

In that sense I kinda screwed myself by going 1410 at the pinion end of my front driveshaft. It is the only joint in the whole truck that is not a 1350.

I guess it doesn't matter as they all use the same size cap, but if I want to carry spares I have to carry both 1350 and 1410 joints.

I guess it beats having to keep Saginaw S44s and 1310s in the glovebox though. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Arent dodge front outputs 32 spline as well? My understanding that only chevy used the 30 spline.

Anyone have a part number for the 14 bolt 1410 yoke? It is a GM piece, right?

No. GM uses a 1350 yoke on the 14 bolt.

Actually, IIRC, there a C&C applications that use the 1410. I think that's where Jess get's them anyway...

My book does list them. Not in our body style though. Newer cab and chassis trucks and 3500 HD trucks seem to offer them as well as new Suburbans.

So, technically, yes, it's a GM piece, just wasn't available in our body style.

Should bolt right on and be good to go though.

    thanks for the info Tim
I would really like to find the source of the ones HAD uses as the donor for their u bolt one
I heard a reference that infering it wasnt an AAM piece and the AAM piece is not a good part, but cannot find the thread where that was mentioned now that I want/need the part
