14Bff spindle socket - square or round lugs?

    I tried to pull my hubs today and found the spindle nut has rounded notches and the socket has square lugs so it won't engage. Did I get the wrong socket, is the nut odd. I have thought about just filing on the lugs to get everything to fit but I just wanted to see what you all think first.

    xle is a 82.it has round holes also.when i bought my tool i just grined it round so it fit in right. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    i have bothe the round and square on mine. the tool enguages on both just fine. give it a love tap in and try that.
    or dremel it down to fit.
