I just picked up a junkyard 14bff for an axle swap, and have a spindle question. When I pulled the hub/drum assemblies, I found some scuffing and a wear ridge on the bottom of one where the outer bearing rides. Everything else looks great. Question is what to do?
    1. Ignore it and run?
    2. Replace bearing?
    3. Sleeve spindle?
    4. Trade for another axle?
Truck will probably see approx. 2000 mi/yr. I don't need perfect, but I don't want problems on the trail! Thanks for any advice.

scuffing, hmm, if you can feel them with fingers then id run, bearings might be messed too, axle might have been run low on fluid for a long time, you should be able to find good ones, i had some if i had known anyone would ever need any then id have removed them before scrapping the housing,

    good luck

You can change them, assuming you have a jig and a competent weldor.

well.. I know you can basically do ANY thing you want... and change a spindle if you want to bad enough, but I just though it would be ALOT easier and less head acke to pick up another housing... unless you have a SUPER nice housing with mods
