    14bFF w/ 15\" drum - a 15\" rim fits?

I'm measuring my 14bFF's drum to check for rim clearance (never been on my truck) and the drums outer diameter is larger than a 15" rims inner diameter at the inside of the two, but it tapers down to the lugs. I assume there are quite a few of you running 15" rims on your 1 ton full floating axles so whats the deal here? Will I need to buy specially offset rims so the inside of the rim doesn't make contact with the inside outer circumference of the drum? I'd like to get a set of 8 lug 15x10's but at what offset and will the bearing hub fit through the center of the rim?

I currently run the 14 with 15 inch rims. Are you trying to run steel or aluminum rims? What you have to measure is the distance from where the rim will be mounted to where the drum is larger than 15". You can see almost all of my drum when you look under my truck. And I have the normal backspasing which is like 4 1/4 I think. Well I know it's 4 something[IMG].

Well I just read my last post and it's kinda confusing. but I found of pic of how my drum sticks out. And you can also see how it IS larger than my rims.

Ok, thats what I was hoping. I recall the 4 1/4 backspacing from previous posts but couldn't remember the details. I'm looking to buy a pair or cheap steel 15" 8 lug rims that I can mount my existing 33's on and keep the truck mobile after the axle swap. This buys me time to run the 6 lug set on the front while I get the D44 front conversion. By the way, I like the shock mounts in your truck, this pic shows a great shot of it!

Even if the rim touched the drum, the drum rotates with the rim anyways. I haven't heard of anyone not being able to run 15" rims on the 14 bolt, no matter which size drums they had.

Good , I was worried about a cheapie rim hitting the outer diameter of the drum before it fully seated, leaving it dangerously off balance.

Hey Esteban, halloween is over and its not April 1st yet. Whats with the blank link.
Andy, thanks but I need 2 of them. I've got a line on a set of steelies that match my six lugs for 25 bucks.
