73-87 3/4 ton 4x4's, and 2WD pick-ups commonly came with the 14 boltFF. The K20's generally came with 4.10's but I would pull the cover off any prospective donor to verify ratio and condition before buying. The ratio of ring gear teeth to pinion teeth will be stamped on the edge of the ring gear most likely. My 14 has the numbers 41:11 stamped on the edge...divide and you'll see I have 3.73's.
The 3/4 ton version of the 14 FF is almost a direct bolt in...save for a hybrid U-joint that you'll need. Some 14's have different backing plates that may not work with your e-brake depending on the trucjk the 14 came out of and the year of your K5. Mine worked out just fine.

Prices for 14's really depend on what if anything has been done to em. If someone has recently rebuilt it with new gears, bearings, seals and maybe a detroit locker you could pay a grand or so and it would be a good deal. You could also find a good used 14 with nothing done to it and scoop it for as little as $100. It depends on local availabilty too. Around here I can find good used ones for cheap all day long.

I'd stay away from from dually 14 bolts. It would cost too much to get it to fit. 14 Bolts from 73-87 3/4 ton 2wd or 4wd Pickups and Suburbans would be a direct bolt in. All you need is the hybrid Ujoint from Napa. The 14B on a 1 ton has narrower spring perches so those would have to be moved to fit your Blazer. I payed $50 for my 14B. Probably the most you'd expect to pay is about $150. It depends if it already has a locker and the overall condition of the axle. 14 bolts are easy to find... the front end takes a little more searching. I just got mine today after looking for about 8 months.

Another word of note ...The early 80's 1ton vans had 14 bolts that are a few inches wider than a std. 4x4 rear. don't know years but they are about 70" hub face to hub face if you're looking to match the front width . CC
