14bolt FF & SF ?

    3/4 ton trucks came with FF & SF 14 bolts (which from what i understand will bolt right up to my 78), was this just an option the buyer ticked off on the list, or was there something else involved in why some got FFs and others got SFs.
    also, what do i do about the u-joints? i will getting a new driveshaft from 'drivelineman' soon so i would like to know which way i want to go.....TIA

    I see your from the middle east that is pretty sweet i bet there is some fun off-roading out there.
    the 14B s/f i think are on mostly 2wd 3/4 ton from what i noticed at the bone yards

    My 82 3/4 ton 8600GVW 4x4 350 gas TH400 Burb came stock with a 4.10 open SF 14 bolt rear end and a 10 bolt front.
    8 lug 16 inch wheels.

    my friend has an '84 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 14SF. It depends on if it was a HD or light duty
