14bolt ff

    i was wondering...i plan on swapping in a 14ff,when i do this swap will i need a new rear shaft? are just a new u-joint?Btw,i have a 90 K5

    Kinda depends I guess. Does your truck have any sort of suspension lift out back (blocks or springs)? If it does, you'll be fine and just need the conversion joint Napa #447. If your truck is stock, you may need a slightly shorter shaft, but probably not - the length of the 14 bolt and 10 from axle centerline to yoke is VERY close to being the same.

    well on order i have a 4"rough country all spring kit..i plan on running 35's,4.56,10/14ff im hopeing ill be ok with the swap.

    I have 4" rough country with 14ff and d44
    I used the same shaft in back with the conversion u-joint
    Made a new front shaft a little longer after the stock one pulled apart
