You have a 4.10 geared open 14BFF, made in February of 1976. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Wouldn't you be able to spin each wheel independently if that was the case?......

    Forgive my ignorance

With an open diff, the wheels should turn in opposite directions. Is it possible that it has a Detroit Locker? Detroits fit in the 4-hole open carrier. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I don't know, but that was my guess. My friend just bought this and we got in it to get the numbers. While we were messing with it, we turned one hub, and the other turned the same direction. We held the other hub and turned the first and could not hold the one. Does this mean Detroit???? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Yeah Id say detroit. Govlock has 3 holes on the outer edge and would spin like an open dif under no load.
