15\" Aluminum wheel on 14BF/F: wheel spacer?

Couldn't find a direct answer to this exact question, maybe because there isn't one, but anyway, here goes:

If I have a 14B FF "filled and drilled" to 6 lug, will a 15x10 Aluminum 6-lug wheel fit over that big drum? I am considering wheel spacers anyway, so would a 1" or 1.5" spacer on each side move the wheels out far enough to clear? These lug studs would be thicker than stock ones, BTW. I am really considering doing this, but it is hard to determine for sure whether or not it would work by measurments alone.

As far as rear goes I am not sure if they will clear. Steel wheels will clear the drum but I think it is close. The big problem is the front 8 lug rears. They will not clear an aluminum wheel.

I believe on the 14FF, the outside of the hub also has to be turned to fit the center hole on the 6lug wheel.

But I have heard that with the right back spacing a 15" wheel will fit on a 14FF with no mods..

I recently bought a set of 15x10 8-lug steel wheels with 4.25" backspacing. There's not much room left between the rim and the drum, about 1/4" or so, but even with the same backspacing I would think the aluminums would still fit as I wouldn't think they would be that much thicker. Also, if you got something along the lines of 3.5" backspacing (which seems pretty common on 6-lug wheels) it should give you more room.

However, the biggest problem (as Emmetology already mentioned) is trying to work around the large center hub of the 14 FF. There's just not enough room for the 6 on 5.5" bolt pattern without somehow modifying the hub. There's another post talking about this exact subject right now.

I'm not sure exactly what a "front 8-lug rears" is as mentioned in the other post (sorry, couldn't resist), but you obviously wouldn't have to worry about clearance on the front because of staying with the 6-lug pattern.
