Congrats on getting a sale finally. You have to pick and choose your toys or end up with a pile of unfinished projects and no money.

    Sadness will pass.

Hey, you still have a badass 1-ton, which is now on the front page of CK5 by the way. :deal:

Not the end of the world Paul. Rigs and life changes. After being a die hard fullsize more power guy I now own a Toyota with a 4 banger.

It's some extra cash in the pocket to have fun with the family and fix up your existing rigs.

You're not gonna have another breakdown are ya? :p:

Congrats! Now you've realized how much more use you can get out of a K/V30/3500 than you can a K5.

    OK, here's the story:

Last June, when I picked up the V3500, I decided I didn't need or want THREE trucks to maintain, license, and insure, so I put the ol' 83 6.2 C10 and the 84 K5 up for sale. As I expected, there wasn't much interest, but one young lad took the K5 for sale and really wanted it. Unfortunately, he couldn't get the money at the time. I wasn't in a panic to sell either truck, because they had been paid for for years and weren't really costing me anything if they just sat parked. I told him to give me a call if he changed his mind and left it at that.

Fast forward to this winter- we bought a new car, which was WAY better on snowy roads than our little Hyundai. The K5 was always on standby for those bad winter storm days, but we never needed to call her "into work", so she stayed parked most of the winter. I'm willing to bet I only put around 1000 miles on it in the last 12 months.

This afternoon, that same young lad called me out of the blue and asked if I still had the truck. I told him I did, and he asked if the price was the same, and when I told him our previous deal was still in force, he let me know that he had come into a little money and wanted to buy the K5 for sure.

That's pretty much it. Am I sad? Sure. Everyone in the Unangst household is gonna be a little sad to see her go. Heck, my kids have grown up with the Blazer. Kim and I took it on our honeymoon. It brought my youngest home from the hospital. It has played a part in many memories for all of us.

But priorities change, and so it is time to say goodbye to the ol' girl.
