Semi-new to the GM truck side of 4x4, and have 91 1500 4x4 suburban. Keep going thru 10 bolt rear ends (towing too large a camper). Have found a 80 C20 14 bolt FF & matching 10 bolt front, 4:11s... price is right, but what am i looking at (outside a set of 8 lug rims/tires & set of U-bolts) to do this? I'm expecting to go thru the seals/brakes etc before using 'em, and may loose my 2wd ABS (awwwww).... I'm sure someone has done this. Any mods to drive shaft? I understand a custom U-joint is need if length is fairly close.
Tried to sell and buy a 3/4 ton, but no takes on the truck! Thanks!
