I went and got a quote from the local rhino liner guy's... I told them i wanted to do the outside of my blazer (a 78) I told them I would do all the prep work, sanding, removing of parts, all they'd do is mask it off and spray it...
He went to the back and came out a minute later and said 1500 bucks... ouch... I asked why so high... he said cause it's alot of spraying... but he said he'd do it not as thick as a bed liner cause it wouldnt need to be as thick... they charge 450 for a truck bed... so how does the price jump 300 percent for doing the outside... it's just the outside of the truck... same as the inside of a bed... hood=bed side panels=outside panels... ok so there's a little on the doors... big woop...
What does it really cost to do this???
I know 1500 is way too much...

If you have a compressor you can go to a body shop supply store and buy the materials and the gun to spray it for less then $500. Last year I was going to do my 73 p-up bed and underside of the cab and it was going to cost me about $200 with my discount. That was for one bedliner kit and the gun. To do the whole outside you will need 2 kits. A kit was the liner plus the additives you put in so it will harden. I plan on doing the inside and underside of my Jimmy with it later this year.
