15x10 rims with 33x12.5x15\'s... bead safe?

I might have to pop my 33's back on after my axle swap but plan on getting 15x10 rims for the future 38's. I imagine I might have some issues if I air down, anyone doing this that can comment?

Here is a pic of my 33 12.50 15's on my 15x10 steel rim with about 8psi in them. Looks kinda flat huh? The only time I blew a bead was when I was coming out of a mud hole and my ass end bucked up and landed on my rear tire with a side force. Other than then I never blew a bead and I would run them that low quite a bit. You should be fine.

I ran 33x12.50-15 all terrains for a while with 15X10 wheels. I had no problems. I never aired it down, but it worked fine.

I envy your choice of tire but I need to stay as low as possible for the jumping and don't plan to move the cab or radiator to do so /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. I was more worried about such a thin tire on such a wide rim with the 33's.

Esteban, 77Thing - Thanks, that will help get the 14b on much sooner! Although I still don't have a 8 lug front end... still trying to solve that one! If I do just the rear I've got to "Mall Poser" the 2x4 for a bit untill I compromise /forums/images/icons/frown.gif!

It's not like I'm going to need 4 wheel drive anyhow for azusa... my tires have such a tight tread pattern that they will turn into muddy non cleaning slicks on the first puddle! But yeah, I'll wait untill after!

My first borrowed set of tires were 32x11.5 on 15x10's and I aired those below 10 psi every weekend without ever having any problems with high speed dune runs. So if you are worried about rolling a bead, don't sweat it!
