anyone running tubes on their 16.5 rims. i would imaging that this would eliminate the problem with the safety bead on these rims. any comments/drawbacks/etc??

The only drawback I see is that you won't be able to air down as much because of the possibility of spinning your tube.

We run tubes in our 16.5''s on the 3/4 ton. We air them down often but I have yet to go below 12psi. The shop that I bought them from said that the tubes will make the tires build up excess heat, and yes the possibility of spinning the rim inside the tire and ripping out the valve stem is there. I haven't had any problems with them except that I had to drill larger holes in my wheels to accept the valve stem.
