Ok, Im getting a 14 ff here in 2 weeks.

The guy has some 33/12.50 TSL's on 16.5x8.25 wheels for 150. The tires are 25% and 40%.

What are the pro's and cons between the 16.5 wheels and the 15 wheels? which should I go with.

16.5" rims do not have a safety bead. Meaning that if you were to air down, you would stand a greater chance of losing the bead. 15" rims might or might not fit, depending on backspacing. At best, they can be tight.

Personal Preference, I'm running 16's. Tire Mfg's are starting to make more tires for a 16" rim to make it easier on us.

Are 16s an option? They will be bolt on over whatever brakes setups you might end up with....
Let me guess - your tire of choice is not offered in 16? That will change. 16.5 is a end-of-life standard so the 16s will be the ideal size.
You can air down 15s more tho and cheaper tires/wheels.

I like the better choice for tires for 15". I will be running 15x10 with 4 1/8 backspace on my 14ff/dana 60. And yes 16" is an option.

So here's my delimah. The rims are 16.5 8.25 white rock crawlers. Cheap wheels but I like them. They have the tires I can use for now.
    In the future Im looking for 36" TSL'R 12.50's X 15,16,16.5's????

15's with 36's seems like there would be an ass load of side wall to get damage. Just a thought.

    Any more comments please?

Depends on what kind of wheelin ya do. If it's rocks, definately go with 15 or 16 for the safety bead reason. If it's mainly mud, the 16.5's will do just fine.

I think the 15's or 16's would be better, but I also understand the deal. If you use the 16.5's, just be aware that you can't air these down. use them unit you can afford the tires you want.

your right. I don't understand the jeep thing!
