16.5\" wheels Good or Bad idea

/forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gifConsidering getting a set a 16.5" wheels to run the tires I got from a freind, if they don't sell. I have heard that the 16.5" tires at low air pressure can slip on the rim or pop the bead /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif. Has anyone run this size and had these problems or now if this does happen?

Yes it happens on the trail if the wheels don´t have a safety bead or beadlocks.

carry an air compressor of some sort, a can of starter fluid, and a ratchet strap. you can put the bead back on.

I'd rather have a bead go at low PSI than a caliper at freeway speeds.

I run 16 PSI on the street and trail...I don't get stuck much
