I going to get new rims and tires here in the next month or two.Almost done with a 3/4 ton swap. What i'm wondering is if 16 inch rims have the bead retaining lip on them like 15 inch rims.Or are they like the 16.5 rims without the lip or what ever it is.

16" rims are like the 15"ers, with the "safety bead".

Then i guess my next question is do they sell those in the 8-lug pattern. And do they fit over a 14 bolt and hd44.I just want to get some plain steel ones.Like black rock crawlers or white ones.

You can get 16x8 8 lug wagon wheels. I have a set that came with 36" swampers on my frame. They fit fine as I have the same setup as you 14/44. But I have heard that 16x10 8 lugs are a little more difficult to find. I personally like the 8's and think they work well with my 36x12.5x16 Swamper Radials.

Yes, the 16" rims will fit over a 14 bolt and HD 44 front. Heck, they even fit on one ton Dana 60 front ends!!

I did some calling around for 16x10's with 8 lugs and here's what I found. If you buy aluminum wheels you can find a 16x10. If you want steel, stockton wheel was the only place that had them in a 16x10, each one was custom made, $300.00 each! Although, 4wheel parts is advertising a 16x10's with beadlocks, but beadlocks aren't legal for street use where I live. I decided to go with 15x10's and grind the calipers on my 10 bolt and 14 bolt (disks all the way around). Hope this helps some.
