    18\" woofers?

What would an 18 inch woofers airspace be? I know it depends on the brand but I was looking for a general idea of what size a box would have to be to hold two 18's. like LxWxH

Depending on the woofer, I would have to say any where from a 6 to 8 cubic foot encloser. It has been so long since I actually installed or bulit an encloser for a pair of 18's that I cant remember. Iknow that for example a pair of 15 rockford XLC's will use 6 cubic feet. 18's will take even more. Unless you get a pair that are specifically designed to work in a small encloser.

I used to have 2 18's in my old Blazer. They took 6 feet of air a piece. So by the time you include the space of the ports, subs and wood I was around 15 cubic feet, external volume. All you have to do is take the width, height, and depth. Convert those numbers to inches and multiply them all together. Take that number and divide it by 1728 and that will be how many cubic feet it is.

Hell, so far as I can tell, not to many people even make an 18" woofer any more.
Here are the specs I have at the shop.
Kicker run in a minimum of 2.2 to a max of 3.3 cubes
Rockfords run in about 4 cubic feet
    big big big big box
    Hear is one example:
a 40x18x20 box, made out of 3/4"mdf will have the inside dimensions of 38.5x16.5x18.5
You multiply that together = 11752.125
divide that by 1728 and you get the internal air space of=6.8 cubic feet.

Hell, just get 2 clarion 32" woofers...as I see it, 18's aren't worth the money. you can get 2 15's for the price of 1 18. Anyway...that sounds crazy, my 6 12's sound even crazier
