Does anybody know if the door sill plates from a 78-91 will work on a 74? LMC has both the left and right hand sill plates for later years, but not for 78 and earlier. Well, they have one piece of the left side, which makes no sense at all... Classic Industries lists the same sill plates as 78-91's but it says replaces 73-91.

Ok, I'm getting the feeling here that a lot of you just tear those off and throw them away?

No, there not the same. The floors were different and the 73-76 are shorter.

Well crap. I just ordered the LMC ones since the pic is identical to the ones listed as 73-91 on the Classic Industries catalog. Oh well, I will test them out and sell them if I have to.
