the 80 parts truck out here had the really super long accelerator cable, i saved it and the pedal assembly too, usually i only see super short cable in these turcks, for the sbc engines

what engine would the reallysuper long length one be for ?

VIn code to truck is * CCD14AJ105619

what engine was original ? engine mounts arein lowest set of holes,

    thanks

The "D" in the vin code is for a 250 6 cyl accourding to the Chassis Identification on page 8 of the LMC Trucks book.

thanks cool, yep, i found an online decoder and thats what is said, 250ci L6

im saving cable cuz it seems that 250 parts trucks dont exist so i beter get my 1980 250 cable now or never probably find another, the cable changed a couple or few tiems from 73-80 alone cuz of how the cable connected to carb and intake changed, i know 73 isnt same deal as 80 as far as length and where mounted to intake/carb, then 71 72 are different again too since 71 was first for cable

    thanks

    thanks

If it helps the short 6cyl. cables are for the non-integrated head 250/292's w/ a monojet carb and the real long cables are for the integrated 250's w/ the 2bbl. carbs .

cool, yeah 79 apparently was first year for 2bbl 250ci engines according to parts listing lookup at parts store anyways, i have seen one in an 81 c-10, they are funky, 2bbl intake and two exhaust pipes.
