We bought and 88 Blazer in good shape not to long ago, we replaced the piston and spring in the transmission(automatic) because it kicked, largely, and made a clunking noise, after it was replaced and programed, the problem did not go away, can anybody help me out, would we need to rebuild the transmission, or install a shift kit, if we need to go with a shift kit what does it do, or is it another part not having to do with the transmission?

Also it ma y be the slip joint on the drive shaft sliding in this is because your spring bushings are worn out so your spring pack tilts shoving your driveshaft forward .
