i posted this in the diesel forum, but not to many people get over there, esp with the boards acting up lately.

my question is, will this be enough truck to pull my 5300 lb Jimmy? the owners manual says that the max trailer weight is 6500 lbs, but get this,,,,the k1500 with the same engine can pull 7000 lbs!!! 10 bolt versus 14 boltff!!! WTF??? maybe i didnt read the owners manual correct (although i doubt that) but something doesnt sound right with those numbers. this truck alrady is wired for trailer brakes plus it has a ball in the bed for a goose neck, so i know it HAS towed before.

any and all input welcome...thanks rob

Not my favorite motor, but it shouldn't have a problem.
