Well I just had to post. No questions but looking to learn alot. I bought my 1st diesel today. A 1986 K30, single cab, single wheels, 6.2L, Turbo400, NP205, 4:56 gears. Its very, very tight to drive. The engine and undercarriage look like a couple of years old, I'm talking original paint, no oil-grease, etc. Runs like a top, has 101K miles on it - ex-utility truck. Woo-Hoo. I'm a diesel guy!

After you realize how much money you'll save with the 6.2 fuel-wise, I'll bet that the 'ol 454 is going to get used to the driveway...../forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Well, I don't think the K30 is gonna replace my K5. Plus I still have a 93 Suburban 3/4 4x4 with a 454, which actually is for sale - just nobody is paying anything.
