1st gen lift vs 2nd gen lift

    hey all, i was wondering if the lift kits for the first generation were compatible with the second generation blazers. any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated,

    rear springs are the same yes, front springs are different. first gen are 3" shorter I belive

    front springs are longer yes but you can easily modify your hangers to accept the longer springs without jeapordizing strength too much. Rear springs are the same besides they give you about 2 inches less lift on a 72 as they do on a 73-87 due to the hanger difference.

    Front shock's same location. Rear shock's are staggered on 2nd gen. One forward, one rearward. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
