2 1/2\" Suspension Lift

I am going to put a 2 1/2" suspension lift on my 1989 K5. I am also adding 33 X 12.5 BFG AT/KO's. For the most part this vehicle will be seeing the highway. The most offroading it will see will be during winter for hunting deer and coyotes. My question is what brand of suspension lift should I get. I don't want a lift that is extremely rough or extremely soft. I just want a good overall system that comes complete. My first choice is one from ProComp. Any suggestions?

I have a 2.5" kit on the 87 K5 from Skyjacker . I went with front and rear springs. I like the way it rides.

Also used their hydro shocks. I did not install the quad shock setup. But i do have the extra if i wanted/needed it.

Love my Superlift 2.5 lift, also installed a zero rate spring in the back. RIDE IS SUPREME. Found the best way to go is to replace all 4 springs.

im thinking i might start out with a 2.5 lift , and to stay away from drive shaft issues and other things of the sort.and then maybe like a 2" body lift..that would give me bout 4.5 inches.

I have a rancho 2.5 now and it's rough. Go with a superlift or tuff countries.

Re: 2 1/2\" Suspension Lift

If I go with a Tuff Country lift, should I get the 2" lift or 3" lift and will I need to extend my brake lines with the 3" lift?

Don't go Rancho it'll beat ya to death. Installed a Superlift Superride on my buddies Sub and he said it rode better than stock. I've also heard good things about the Skyjacker softride.

Rancho = rough ride

I've got their springs front and rear and do not really care for them.

I didn't think Rancho even made leaf springs. They are not on their website.

OK I have narrowed my selection to either Tuff Country springs or BDS springs. Please give me your opinions on both.
Thanks a lot you have all been helpful.
